Em algumas situa\u00e7\u00f5es, \u00e9 indicada junto com uma rinoplastia para possibilitar uma melhor harmonia do rosto.<\/p><p>Existem tr\u00eas diferentes procedimentos para a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o da mentoplastia:<\/p><p>Avan\u00e7o \u00f3sseo: consiste na manipula\u00e7\u00e3o do osso da mand\u00edbula para melhor adequa\u00e7\u00e3o em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao perfil da face.<br \/>Uso de porex: uma pr\u00f3tese de polietileno biocompat\u00edvel implantado para o aumento do queixo.<br \/>Pr\u00f3tese de silicone: mais indicado para quem possui o queixo retra\u00eddo.<br \/>A cirurgia dura, em m\u00e9dia, uma hora e meia e \u00e9 necess\u00e1ria anestesia geral. O p\u00f3s-operat\u00f3rio costuma ser tranquilo, com pouca ou nenhuma dor local, pouco edema e retorno r\u00e1pido \u00e0s atividades cotidianas (2 a 3 dias) e \u00e0s atividades f\u00edsicas (7 a 14 dias).
